Is this final printed weight, or Cura estimated weight?
If they are small improvements yes, otherwise you will get the cost of your V1 knocked off. I.e if you spent £10 and V2 is available for download at £14, you’ll just pay £4. Does that seem fair?
If you are confident with Simplify 3D and 3D printing in general you shouldn’t have a problem.
That’s said, I don’t use Simplify so won’t be able to provide any slicing support.
The models use a combination of single walled printing and low percentage cubic infill. So long as you can get simplify to do this it will be fine.
The only exception is the Dragon Bushplane which requires Cura.
Thanks Jon, my issue isn't with Simplify3D necessarily, but when I do slice with it I can't get anywhere near the weight you estimate. I'm 20-30% heavier on pretty much every file. I'll keep playing with and will use Cura in the meantime. Also, you mentioned in your look back at 2020 that there are improvements in a couple models. Will those of us that have already purchased those models be provided updates at no additional cost?
